Using MarketLine Advantage

Choosing Industry Statistics

MarketLine Advantage provides three statistics dashboards for Industry Statistics:

  • Values: Displays data on market value. Includes value of market in millions of dollars, growth rate %, value share %, and geographical heat map.
  • Volumes: Displays data on market volume. Includes volume of industry by million units, growth rate %, value share %, and geographical heat map.
  • Segmentation: Displays data on market segmentation. Includes segment share %, segmentation by region, regions by segment, whole market segmentation, and % of industry value by region. 

These dashboards consolidate the data found in the Industry Data option in an interactive interface.

Industry Statistics in MarketLine Advantage

The Industry Statistics tool in MarketLine Advantage has interactive charts for Values, Volumes, and Segmentation.

To view the Industry Statistics tool, go to the Databases tab at the top of the screen. From the list of options, choose Industry. Then, from the list of options, choose Industry Statistics.

From here, the main Industry Statistics dashboard will appear.

Here, you can choose to view the interactive Values, Volumes, or Segmentation dashboards. For more information on these dashboards, see the instructions within the tabs of this box, or view the video below. To view this data as an interactive spreadsheet, see instructions for Industry Data.

To view statistics on market value of an industry, choose the Values dashboard from the options displayed on the Industry Statistics landing page.

In the Values dashboard, refine data displayed by Sector, Industry, Region, and Geography using the dropdown menus at the top of the dashboard screen.

To view statistics market volume, choose the Volumes dashboard from the options displayed on the Industry Statistics landing page.

In the Volumes dashboard, refine data displayed by Sector, Industry, Region, and Geography using the dropdown menus at the top of the dashboard screen.

To view statistics on market segmentation, choose the Segmentation dashboard from the options displayed on the Industry Statistics landing page.

In the Values dashboard, refine data displayed by Sector, Industry, Geography, Type, and Year using the dropdown menus at the top of the dashboard screen.
