SOWK 3003/5003: Social Work Research / Research and Analytic Methods

Easily Expanding Your Research

Once you find one article, you can usually find more based on these few tips:

  1. Check the article's references. Search those new article titles in OneSearch to find them.
  2. Check to see if the article has been cited by any other published journal articles. Each database platform lists them differently, but look for a number and the words such as citations or times cited.
  3. Use your exact search in a different database. For example, if you are searching Social Sciences Citation Index, try your search in Social Services Abstracts & Sociological Abstracts.
