SciENcv is the new required biosketch format for applying to NIH and NSF grants. It's a brief CV covering the work, research, and awards that are most related to the funding you are applying for now.

1. Sign into your NCBI account and visit Account Settings.
2. Scroll down to Linked Accounts and click Add account
3. Choose ORCiD from the drop down list.
4. You’ll be prompted to sign into your ORCiD account.
1. Sign into your NCBI account. Go to your dashboard and locate the SciENcv section, and click on Manage SciENcv>>.
2. Click on the Create a New Document button.
3. Name your SciENcv.

5. Add the identifying information at the start of the application manually.
6. Items like your education and appointments should automatically transfer from your ORCiD account.
7. You can choose the most relevant publications (called products) from those associated with your ORCiD account.
8. You can also choose to delete any positions, education, etc, from your SciENcv at this time if you choose.
9. Add any synergistic activities manually.
10. Check for any missing required fields or errors, using the pencil or edit buttons to do so.
11. View a draft to check your work.
12. Download the PDF to certify and finish this SciENcv.
