What do librarians do?

Librarians can:

  • help you pick a topic
  • help you find your sources
  • help you decide if a source is scholarly and/or credible
  • help you get books or articles we don't currently have at the library

Librarians can't:

  • tutor you on homework assignments
  • proofread your papers

For homework, study, and proofreading help, visit one of the Excel Centers on campus.

Search for Textbooks

The Library keeps some textbooks on course reserve behind the Main Circulation Desk. You can borrow them for a short period of time, which varies by book. Search for books by title or course number. If you know the book's ISBN, you can do a keyword search.
