How do I Use the Legacy Version of RefWorks?: Create a Bibliography

RefWorks let's you save, share, and cite your research sources.

RefWorks is NOT perfect. Always consult your style guide/manual to be sure your citations are formatted correctly.

Create a Bibliography

1. Select the sources you need to cite, either by individually checking the boxes near their titles or by opening a folder with all of them.

2. Click on "Create Bibliography"

3. Choose the citation style that you need from the drop down menu of output styles (ask your instructor if you are unsure). If you do not see the citation style you need, click Manage Output Styles in the bottom right of the window.

Use the search box to find your citation style in the list, then click on the style you need to highlight it and use the arrow to move it into the list of favorite styles.

4. Choose the type of file you want for your bibliography (html, text, etc), then click Create Bibliography.
