These databases all contain a diverse array of materials that can include books, pamphlets, magazines, newspapers, memoirs, etc. All of the materials that you find in these databases will be primary source materials.

World History

These databases all contain a diverse array of materials that can include books, phamplets, magazines, newspapers, memoirs, etc. All of the materials that you find in these databases will be primary source materials.

Since these databases only contain newspapers, all of the results that you find on your topic should be considered primary sources. You do not need to use material types as part of your keyword searching.

These databases contain films and images that are primary sources when considered in the context and time that they were created. Documentaries, photographs, and other films provide insight to the time period in which they were created.

These databases contain mostly scholarly journal articles, but are useful for finding background information on a topic and for identifying primary source materials within their bibliographies. Depending on the context of your research, journal articles can be considered primary sources. However, the majority of articles you find in these databases will be considered secondary, scholarly sources.
