Hello, I’m Chris and I am the librarian for the College of Education.

You can contact me directly through the link in my profile, or contact the reference desk with any questions. The chat box is in the lower right hand corner of this page. I’m available by email or you can make a research appointment to meet in person.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

Borrow books and articles from other libraries.

Available through our homepage.

If it is your first time using ILLiad, please create a new account. You will need to use your UCCS email address and student ID number when creating the account so we will know you are currently affiliated.

Articles are available electronically for download. Books will be delivered to the library via courier for pickup at the library.

More Education Databases

See the tabs in the guide for information on ICPSRand ERIC.

For the full list of Education databases click here.

Say What?

Boolean is fancy library-speak for using AND, OR, & NOT for more effective searching.

Want to know more about it? Click here.

Off-Campus Access

When you are off-campus, you’ll need to use the Library VPN to access our resources. After installing it you will need to login to the VPN each time you would like to use the library resources from off-campus.

If you are using the VPN for the first time (or on a new computer) you'll need to install it. The directions are here, or available from our library homepage.

Searching for Journals

If you are looking for specific articles, there are two ways of going about it (but first login to the VPN if you are off-campus):

1. You have a topic, and are looking for articles on that topic.

If this is the case, you could start in an education database such as ERIC (Education Resources Information Center) or another education resource.

2. You have a specific citation (from your professor or another article) and are looking for that exact article.

Type in the name of the Journal (not the name of the article) into our Journal Search. Pay attention to the year of your article. Journals may be found electronically or on the shelf in the Kraemer Family Library. If we do not have the journal, you can order it through ILLiad, and the link will be delivered to your UCCS email.
